Doing this alone is the expensive way.
Search for free. Pay only when you want help: reading a bid, getting registered, or getting certified. No demo call, no contract, and no price hidden behind a form.
OpenBid cannot guarantee results. Nobody can promise that a bid will win.
The government made it free. It did not make it easy.
Nobody charges you to look at a federal bid. What costs you is the time, the missed dates and the paperwork nobody explained. This is where people give up, and where we help.
A bid can run to dozens of pages.
It is written for contracting officers, not for a business owner reading it after a day's work. One missed requirement can put your bid out.
With membership, Sabrina reads the bid and its documents with you and tells you what it is asking for.
A late bid is almost never read.
Government deadlines are firm, down to the hour. The work you put into a bid counts for nothing if it arrives after the date.
Members save the bids they want and get an email before each one is due.
No SAM.gov registration, no contract.
You cannot be awarded a federal contract or grant without an active SAM.gov registration, and it has to be renewed every year. Registering is free. Getting through it is the hard part.
The SAM guide walks you through it in ten plain-English steps, and reminds you before it is time to renew.
Many bids are reserved.
Some contracts are set aside for certified businesses: woman-owned, veteran-owned, HUBZone, 8(a) and others. Without the certification, you cannot compete for those.
Each readiness course gets you ready to apply yourself, with the papers gathered first.
Two plans. Start free.
Search as long as you like without paying. Join when you find a bid worth going after.

OpenBid cannot guarantee results. The government decides who wins a bid and whether a registration or certification is approved.

Do you guarantee I will win a bid?
No, and nobody honestly can. The government decides who wins. What we do is help you find bids that fit, understand what they ask for, and send in a complete response on time.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, at any time, from your account page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for. You keep your membership until then, you are not charged again, and after that you carry on with the free services. We show you the exact date before you confirm.
Is SAM.gov registration not free?
It is. The government charges nothing to register in SAM.gov, and you should never pay anyone a fee for the registration itself. What we sell is help getting through it: plain-English steps and an assistant who can look at the screen you are stuck on.
Is OpenBid part of the government?
No. OpenBid is a private company. The bids and grants shown here come from public federal sources, and you always respond on the government's own site.
Do I need a membership to take a course?
No. The courses are separate. You need a free account, and you pay once for the course you want. Membership is for working on bids.
Do you fill in my application or sign in for me?
No. You do every step yourself, in your own government account. We never ask for your password. The courses get you ready so that when you sit down to apply, you have what you need.
Can I stop the emails?
Yes. Every email has a link that stops them with one click, and you can turn them back on from your account.
How do I pay, and is it safe?
You pay on the secure page of Stripe, our payment company. OpenBid never sees or stores your card number.
New bids that fit your business, by email
With an account you get them once a week. Members get them every day, save the bids they want, and are reminded before each deadline.
