What OpenBid is, what it is not, and what it cannot promise.

Last updated October 4, 2026

OpenBid cannot guarantee results.

We cannot promise that you will win a contract, be paid, or be approved for anything. Winning federal work depends on the agency, the competition, and your own bid. Anyone who promises you a government contract is not telling you the truth.

OpenBid is not a government website.

OpenBid is an independent service run by Steven Lawrence LLC. It is not part of any federal agency and is not endorsed by one. The names of federal agencies belong to those agencies and appear here only to show who posted a bid.

The official notice is the final word.

Our listings come from public federal sources and are refreshed on a schedule. A listing here can be out of date, incomplete, or wrong, and agencies change and cancel bids. Always confirm the dates, the requirements, and who can bid on the official notice before you respond.

The plain English is written by AI, and AI can be wrong.

An AI writes the one-sentence summaries, sorts the bids, and reads what you type into AI search. It is there to save you time. It can misread a notice or leave something out, so do not rely on a summary alone.

This is not professional advice.

Nothing on OpenBid is legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Any estimate or guide is a starting point. What you bid, and at what price, is your decision alone.

Government registration is free.

Registering in SAM.gov costs nothing. If OpenBid ever charges for help with it, the charge is for our help, never for the registration. Read what you need before you can bid.
